Mount Holly Statues Repaired

Arkansas artist Tim Baitinger has completed repairs on the three statues that were vandalized at Little Rock’s Mount Holly Cemetery back in April. Donations from the public partially financed the repair work.

Part of a historic family plot, the 3 life-sized Italian marble statues depict a mourner and two young Basham sisters, Pearl and Martha, who died in the 1880s. Continue reading

Springfield-Des Arc Bridge to be Restored, Moved to Beaverfork Lake

You can see it now only by hiking to Cadron Creek off Springfield Road north of Wooster on Faulkner County’s edge with Conway County, but that will soon change: the City of Conway will restore and move the 142-year-old Springfield-Des Arc bridge to Beaverfork Lake, where it will be used for walking/bicycling.

Faulkner County Museum To Be Preserved, Restored

The Faulkner County Museum in downtown Conway will be preserved and restored over an 8-year span, according to the local Museum Commission, with help from the community, business stakeholders, and volunteers.
